almost here…

IphoneThe Economic Times said yesterday that the iPhone will come to India, and all operators will support it. How can I express my happiness? And my impatience that it will happen only after three months? Here in the hub of IT activity the Macintosh is not at all the preferred machine, and, at Apple, they consider India for a product-launch only after they're done in America and Europe and Oceania and East Asia. I write this on my Mac Air at breakfast, connected through Airport to the MacBook Pro upstairs in my study, which sits by a big-screen iMac. There somewhere lies also my iPod Touch, and lost and forgotten in various drawers are older iPods, successive models from the very first. That is substantial devotion, I should think, but I am a forlorn member of the Apple cult, pining alone at the very edge of its web.
